Our competition team attended the USA National Clogging Championships hosted by C.L.O.G.. Held over Labor Day weekend, the event took place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee. Representing the state of Arkansas, the team joined twenty-three teams with over 400 cloggers from across the country to compete for titles in traditional and contemporary categories.
On their inaugural trip to the national competition, the team placed in all team categories they participated in:
1st place Hoedown
1st place Show Team
1st place Adult Traditional Line
1st place Adult Traditional Line Formations
3rd place Elementary Traditional Line
3rd place Elementary Traditional Line Formations
They also received National Champion Recreational Young Adult Team and National Champion Recreational Adult Team.
Members of the team competed in solo categories as well. Dakyn Clark received 2nd place 20-29yrs Acapella Solo and Amy Minefee received 2nd place 30yrs+ Traditional Solo. Both advanced to dance-offs for the national title.
This concludes the 2021 competition season following regional competitions in Jackson, Mississippi and Houston, Missouri. The team looks forward to the 2022 competition season.
